Artist’s Access to Tao House

The Foundation invites Photographers, Painters, Sculptors, Writers – any type of artist that could benefit from the beautiful and creative environment at the O’Neill Historic Site – to come create new works in this picturesque place. The inspirational setting of the Eugene O’Neill National Historic Site and Tao House is fodder for visual artists looking for a plein-air location for painting, sculpture or photography — or even for a bit of writing.

If you are an artist and would be interested in this opportunity, please contact Park Service Ranger Tad Shay at the Eugene O’Neill National Historic Site at (925) 838-0249 ext. 6422, or by e-mail to thaddeus_shay@nps.gov, to set up an agreeable time and make transportations arrangements to access Tao House (transportation to the O’Neill Historic Site is by National Park Service shuttle; private cars are not permitted).

This opportunity to spend time adjacent to the Las Trampas hills with spectacular views of San Ramon Valley and Mount Diablo is co-sponsored by the National Park Service and the Eugene O’Neill Foundation, Tao House.
